Winter is a lovely time of year, particularly when you're all cosy next to a roaring fire. This was not the case for me earlier this month. Having only been living in Cardiff for just over two months now and just starting University, I've spent a lot of time going to all the socials and networking events in the area and made a lot of great connections. One such connection is Alex, otherwise known as 'The Naive Filmmaker', we instantly got on and were keen to work together, a few weeks later, and I'm invited to work on this 3rd year film called "The Museum Of Modern Trash".
I had to be up, packed and ready for a 0500 pickup time from my accommodation. By the time we had reached the location, the sun was just about up - but my god was it cold. And boy was I not prepared!
Armed with only my camera, a pair of gloves, and a cup of (now cold) tea, we trudged up a hill toward where we would become Unit Base. As we began to set up Base and the kit, I snapped away and got to recording some BTS Video.
I spent a good chunk of time chatting with the Stills Photographer, Thomas, discussing his role, and honestly, I hadn't really given it much thought. Getting to see him work and how he interacted with the cast and crew intrigued me, so I decided to try taking a few stills of my own.
